The role nurses and HCPs play in flu education

#TogetherAgainstFlu - 17/03/23

We have seen how disruptive and costly influenza can be to society, and we have seen how flu vaccines have made a significant contribution to fighting the virus and protecting individuals, particularly the most vulnerable people in our communities, such as older adults and patients with underlying medical conditions.

The important role that nurses and healthcare practitioners play in influenza vaccination education is well established. We speak to Josefine Declay, an ICU nurse and Policy Officer at the European Specialist Nurses Organisation (ESNO), who tells us her experience of working during a period when the healthcare system is at maximum capacity, and she shares her message of vaccine education to other nurses and healthcare professionals.
